Our formmail.cgi Form Mailer script has been extensively modified to tighten a whole slew of security holes which have been exploited by the Spammers. In the vast majority of cases it will be transparent to you, the user, but there are a few instances where you might trigger the Anti-Spam protection which could cause your form page to fail. The maximum number of recipients is three. No more than three people may be emailed at one time by the form. DO NOT name the form page contact.htm or contact.html as the spammers scan webservers for those page names in order to use them to relay SPAM. Our formmail.cgi will NOT process forms with those names. When testing your form please make sure to wait at least 10 seconds between form submissions. If you have problems getting your form to work, please email webmaster. IMPORTANT NOTE: The formmail.cgi program relies upon the submitting web browser to return the HTTP_REFERER environment variable in order to verify that the form page is authorized to send email from our network. Certain flavors of security software such as Norton Internet Security 2003 have a "privacy" setting which blocks the HTTP_REFERER variable so those folks will NOT be able to submit forms without disabling the offending setting. You should always provide a note and an alternate method of contact such as a plain email address on your form page(s) so you will be guaranteed to be reachable. - Henry Formmail Form Page Configuration: ============================ Example:
