Oliver Criswell: Oliver Criswell Service Tuesday

Oliver S. Criswell; 77 Milford Twp farmer died suddenly Saturday morning at his home four miles north of Six Corners. He had been in failing health for several months with a heart ailment. Surviving are his wife Olive; three sons; Clarence of Huntington Park, Calif. Douglas of Springfield, and Rodney of Bryan, two daughters Edith Phillips Bryan and Mrs. Dora Brown Hicksville; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a brother Harvey Criswell Louisville, Ohio. Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the Methodist Presbyterian church at Edgerton, with Rev Robert Bates, pastor of Hicksville Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at Edgerton.

Obituary for William T Lewis Sr

William T (Bill) Lewis, 61, a sheet metal worker, died unexpectedly ofa heart attack Wednesday afternoon at his home, 421 Clough St. A resident of Bowling Green since 1918 he was born in Gibson, Pa., May 17, 1900,the son of Mr and Mrs James Lewis. On June 11, 1921 he married YeulalahColler. She survives with one daughter, Mrs Loring (Olive) Todd, BowlingGreen; four sons, Roy, Bowling Green, Richard and Ray, both of Perrysburg, and James of Toledo; 12 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Beatrice Diffendorf, Binghamton, N. Y., A son, William died in Korea March of 1953.A sister and brother died earlier also.

The funeral will be at 2:30pm Saturday in the Deck Funeral Home. Rev. Clyde Hunter of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

At the age of 15, he came to Ohio and settled in Columbiana County, where he resided until 1854, when he came to Defiance County, and settled on the farm in Farmer Township on which he resided until old age and failing health forced him to give up work and in June, 1901, he came to hisdaughter's home in Bryan where his last days were spent.
