Tom and Paula's
Doll House Pix
Before you look at the pictures here is some background
The dollhouse is a Greenleaf "The Garfield",
their biggest and most expensive dollhouse. It is a 10 room Victorian
that measures 41 1/2" Wide x 42" High x 30" Deep with a scale of 1
inch equal to 1 foot.
The company my sister Chris works for
had bought the dollhouse with the idea of putting it together to raffle
off. But when they opened the box no one wanted to take on the
challange of putting something together so intricate and complex.
They had to find someone to put it together and quickly as the event
that the company was going to show and promote the dollhouse in
was less than 2 months away. Well, Chris thought of me because of
my love of wood working and the models I had put together years
ago. I accepted and she brought the dollhouse and accessories out
to me and Paula and I started to put it together. I did all of the
construction work and Paula did all of the painting. She also put on
about half of the roof shingles which came with the dollhouse.
It took us 46 days to put it together. I had 150 hours work and Paula
had 106 hours work in the house. We were able to finish the
dollhouse on time and it was a big hit. Everyone was very happy with
it and quite impressed.

Here are several more pictures taken of the Doll House that
Paula took with her cell phone that we were just able to retrieve from her phone.
They were taken at the show where it was on display.
