I hope you enjoy this small glimpse into my life.....
Ohio is where I call home. Born and raised in Northwest Ohio I've never
really considered living anywhere else. Although a country girl at heart,
I live in a small community on the shores of Lake Erie. Active at one time in
city government (yes, I was one of those dreaded politicians!), I now strive
for peace and quiet. In a perfect world I would live in the country again where
I could walk outside at night, look up and see billions of stars, watch a
train go by, tend to a garden, and play with our menagerie of pets. Perhaps
someday.

It's a Small World
Alittle More About Henry - I call
him Hank
Our pets.. I love animals.. It seems like "strays" have a way of finding
and adopting us. At the present time, we have three cats and two dogs.
Now you can even get a glimpse of the four-legged members of our family.
Update!!
Hank and I started in April of 2000 with one 10 gallon fish tank. As of March
2001, we are up to seven "dedicated" fish aquariums and several that we use as
either fry, quarantine or hospital tanks. *lol*
At Henry
& Tammys Tropical Fish & Aquariums you can see just how far our hobby has
advanced. Things change rapidly in our fishy world so you may want to check
out the site from time to time.
Life is good.
Hello...
On The Moon you ask? Well, everybody has to start somewhere. For me, "The
Moon" (aka BlueMoon.net) is perfect!!
Well, things change. Hank and I are living in Buffalo, New York for now. After
losing both of my parents and finding out that Hanks Mom was terminally ill we
decided to come to New York so that we could be close to his Mom and help to care
for her when it became necessary. So... just over a year ago we came to Buffalo. Hank,
myself, the dogs, the cats and the fish. Hank came one month ahead of me. Sadly, Hank's
Mom took an unexpected turn for the worse and passed away just three weeks after he got here.
We are both so thankful that he got to be here and spend some time with her before she
left us. She left us with a full house of pets to care for on top of the ones we had. So..
as you read about all our kitties and doggies below you can add nine more kitties and another
dog to the clan. What a crew. They keep me busy. We love them all. (Most of the time) ;)
I probably should have inserted the above paragraph about four paragraphs down from here...
Oh well... I think you can figure it all out... Back to the story...
I always knew I wanted to be a Mom. I knew that my children, whoever they would
be and how ever many I would have would be the legacy I would leave to this
world. I have three children, Rachel, Erica and Nathan. Pretty neat kids if I
do say so myself... They certainly have kept life interesting. I was once given
a valuable piece of advice in regards to raising my children. I was told,
"Tammy, Don't ever put something in front of your children that someday
you may have to tell them is wrong" Best advice I was ever given and can
give. They are all three adults now and living their own lives.
Thank you Rach, Erica and Nate for being who you are! I love you.
A number of years ago I began wondering about the history
of my family. I half-heartedly started researching my heritage. Well, after
losing both my Mom and Dad in the past few years my desire to learn more grew.
By clicking on My Genealogy Pages you will be able to view what I
have found as it unfolds. The site is a labor of love for my children and other
family members and a way for me to pay tribute to my Mom and Dad.
First I have to mention Henry. Henry (I call him Hank) is the love of my life.
While doing research for my family (and eventually Henry's) I came across
some pretty startling information. Henry and I are cousins!! *LOL* Not like
you are thinking. In the early 1630's both sets of our ancestors immigrated to
the Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts aboard different ships. Henry's 8th
Great-Grandfather had a sister named Mary Jones who married a man named Joseph
Lewes who is the brother of my 8th Great Grandfather, George Lewes.
Unfortunately both Joseph and Mary (Jones) Lewes were killed by indians in
1675 in Massachusetts. Anyways, it just goes to show you that you never know
whos path you may cross during your lifetime and how small this world really
is. I was first introduced to Henry by a friend. Henry being a lifelong resident
of New York and me being from Ohio, we would never have met any other way.
Hank is the most interesting man I have ever met. Smart, handsome,
compassionate and funny. I couldn't ask for more. I'll let him tell you about
himself.

Yes, I have gone through my share of trials and tribulations. Most of which I
brought on myself. Would I change anything from my past? (Stupid question)
Of Course! Where I am today in my life I wouldn't change for anything. I have
been blessed with finding a wonderful man to share life with. I have three
absolutely fantastic kids of which I couldn't be more proud of, well maybe
sometimes. I have my extended family that mean the world to me. My pets...
And my friends... What more could anyone want.
